The people of Hurstbridge and surrounding district are well aware of the name Saunders Automotive Engineering.
Alan Saunders first established the business in 1953 when the main road was nothing more than a dirt track. In 1990 Alan's son Rikki Saunders took over the management and operation of the business at 941 Main Rd Hurstbridge.
Saunders Automotive Engineering carries out all manor of vehicle and mechanical repairs including Oxy / acetylene & arc welding and steam cleaning.
All vehicle repairs are carried out in a professional and responsible manner. Rikki says that they don't take shortcuts with jobs; "We do a proper job". Saunders Automotive Engineering prides themselves on a 'no rip off' policy', if any additional work is found to be required during a service they will call the owner and take the time to explain the situation and gain their approval before the additional work is carried out.
As a further indication of the value of the work done at Saunders Automotive Engineering they carry out a major service for the price of a minor service, even to the extent of the inclusion of an oil change in the price.
Saunders Automotive Engineering specialises in fuel injection systems. Using the latest technology, they have invested in the Vane 9000 & Autocraft machines for electronic tuning and the cleaning and testing of fuel injection systems.
Rikki points out that he is well aware of the fact that public transport is hard to come by in the areas around Hurstbridge and so it is important to get the vehicles back to their owners in the minimal time to avoid unnecessary inconvenience. However if a car has to be kept overnight the owner can be assured of its safety as the workshop is large enough to garage all vehicles, and they are in the process of doubling the size of the building.
A part of the Hurstbridge community, Saunders Automotive Engineering sponsors a member of the local cricket club.
